We have further evidence that academia is a lost cause.
A bunch of American University professors, who are anything but American, have responded to an anonymous student who posted the phrase “All Lives Matter” on campus.
For starters: yes, we’re living in an era where professors feel obliged to reply to 3-word statements of unity posted anonymously.
Of course, in this case, they have a problem with that message of unity and wrote a strongly worded letter expressing their concern.
The letter begins as follows: “The ‘All Lives Matter’ sign might seem to be a benign message with no ill intent…”
Yeah. It might seem that way because it freaking is that way.
Ther wretches continue: “…but it has become a rallying cry for many who espouse ideas of white supremacy and overt racism…”
Sure. Nothing screams “racism” and “white supremacy” like a catch-all phrase clearly conveying the idea that Hispanic, Asian, and black lives matter.
There’s more to the letter, but as you can already tell it would be an insult to your intelligence to share it.
The American education system needs a reboot.
