Who saw this one coming?
I mean: besides every conservative activist on the planet, who saw this one coming?
A gay dude who’s leading the charge for transgender bathroom rights in North Carolina is a registered sex offender who was convicted of molesting a younger boy in the late 1990s.
The guy’s name is Chad Sevearance. He’s president of something called the Charlotte Business Guild, a self-described “network of LGBT professionals, business owners, employees and individuals in the Charlotte area who meet to nurture a network of business contacts; encourage fellowship and support among community business, professional and charitable pursuits; and provide and promote positive role models in the LGBT community.”
Whether or not any other members of that group like to perv with little boys was unclear at press time.
Sevearance and his group want a policy in Charlotte similar to the one that just went into effect in New Yawk. That is, they want dudes who think they’re girls to be able to use whatever bathroom suits their fancy.
In 1998, Sevearance worked as a youth minister and that would be funny if it wasn’t so sad. During his “ministry” tenure, he ALLEGEDLY lured younger men to his apartment to spend the night with him. There, he would show them porn and try to talk them into whatever passes for “sex” between two dudes.
One kid testified that he woke up to find Sevearance “fondling him.”
The “minister” was convicted on one charge of sexual molestation of a minor.
Now, he’s a registered sex offender.
In other words, he’s exactly the kind of person you’d expect to be leading the charge for transgender bathroom rights.
