In case you’re in the mood for something different in your reality television entertainment, how about a show where strangers strip and get in bed on the very first date?
Also: the stripping and bedding is done in front of a camera, too.
It’s a reality show, after all.
Spoilers, though: they don’t get naked. They just strip to their underwear.
Now that I’ve lost 90% of my male audience, let The Daily Mail explain to the rest of you about this show that’s coming to the UK:
They will then share a bed wearing nothing but their underwear in order to ‘accelerate intimacy and explore the accepted rules of attraction’.
Producers Fizz (part of RDF Television) say the show is a innovative ‘social experiment’ and they are currently searching for candidates to take part.
Oh, yeah: they’re not allowed to have sex, either.
The whole point is to tear away emotional layers as well as physical layers and get to know each other to see if they can connect on one of those deep levels of compatibility that you hear about on the eHarmony commercials.
After 30 minutes of not-sex, the couples get to decide if they want to continue with each other or put a stop to the experiment right away.
They are given tablets beside their side of the bed with the words ‘yes or no’ and they must make their decision – which will then be revealed to their bedmate via the giant screen, leading to either true love or crushing rejection.
Undoubtedly, many people will be entertained.
