Glenn Beck says the he left Fox because he was told that he could no longer tell his audience to pray.
That might be a first.
At a rally last week, Beck finally fessed up about why he quite the most popular cable news network.
“I was told, ‘Stop telling people to pray,’” Beck said. “I was told not to tell people to pray on their knees because there’s a lot of people in the audience whose knees hurt and I make them feel bad.”
There you go, then. The mystery’s over.
Fox News says that isn’t the reason, though. The network offers this as a reason for Beck’s abrupt departure.
Glenn Beck wasn’t trying to save his soul, he was trying to save his ass. Advertisers fled his show and even Glenn knows what that means in our industry. Yet, we still tried to give him a soft landing. Guess no good deed goes unpunished.
I believe in the power of prayer but Fox’s explanation strikes me as a bit more plausible.
Glenn Beck on why he really left Fox News…WOW.
