Apparently, threatening to rape somebody isn’t a firing offense.
That seems to be the sentiment of the idiots who run Purdue University, anyway.
I’ve already covered the story of Jamie Newman, the staffer at Purdue University who’s living proof that some humans are de-evolving. He threatened to rape pro-lifers in response to the Students for Life group running an anti-abortion campaign on campus.
His threat of rape was reported to the powers that be at Purdue. However, after non-careful consideration, the administration has determined that there’s no reason to fire somebody who threatens to sexually assault his political opponents.
On Thursday, the university quickly announced that it was closing the case against Newman, saying it had not found “sufficient evidence to take action” against him, the Lafayette Journal & Courier reports.
“As far as the university is concerned, the speech was repugnant and inconsistent with Purdue values,” the Purdue statement read. “We don’t condone it, but at this time no personnel action is intended.”
After the announcement, Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life of America, told LifeNews: “It is an awful precedent. So employees of Purdue University can go around saying they are going to rape people online and that’s okay with them? This man represents their university.
